In the trilogy of Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, there is a scene which as women, I want us to go to and learn from it. It is almost the last scene of the movie. King Theoden of Rohan has a niece named Eowgn, who has gone to battle with her uncle. She trieds to look like a man and her uncle does not know that she has come with him and his army. The Witch King of Angmar comes to the scene of the battle, fights her uncle and mortally wounds him. Eowgn sees what has happened to her uncle and she rushes to his defense. She says, "I will kill you if you touch him." The Witch King replies taking Eowgn by the throat, "You fool, no man can kill me. Die now." Opps, big mistake!!! Then, and this is my favorite scene of all time, Merry stabs the Witch King from behind and the Witch King shrieks and falls to his knees. Eowgn rises from off the ground and pulls her helmet off of her head and her hair falls over her shoulders. She then declares these words, "I AM NO MAN." She then thrusts her sword into the Witch Kings helmet and twists, he shrieks and implodes. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! Now let me show you why the enemy is so afraid of you as a woman.
Remember in the first two lessons, we were going over the fact that God wants us women to reach our destiny in Him. That when God created the heavens and the earth and He created Adam and Eve, that He saw that it was good! We are not an after thought, or just another creature added to creation!!! Also remember that it was Adam and Eve who had communion with Abba in the garden. That both of them were equal in the sight of God and that God desired a relationship with both of them. Eve could have her own relationship with God apart from her husband. Yet neither one felt threatened by the other. God is an equal opportunity God. There was perfect unity.
We as women all know the story well of what happened in the garden. Satan came and deceived Eve and she ate of the fruit first and we have been whipped with that by the church since the beginning of time. That religious spirit has left many women feeling less than equal in anything and always feeling like they can't hear anything from God for themselves. Just a little side note. Oh by the way, why do we always think it was an apple she ate?
Genesis 3:6 says, "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some to her husband, and he ate." Amplified Version
Now lets go back to our original verse that got all of this started. I want us to see why we are always being threatened by discouragement, abuse, depression etc. Why the enemy is always trying to keep us from our destiny, whether in the workplace, in your home, in your church, among friends.
Genesis 3:15 says, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel. Amplified Version
Remember when we started this journey, I shared about an experience I had on the computer with a Cult member at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, who demanded I do things his way or else. And how that as I laid in bed thinking about this conversation with this cult member, God spoke these words to me, "satan knows scripture better than you do and he believes it." Again it was a slap in the face, but stirred up something inside that needed to be stirred. If satan can get to the woman through whatever means, than the seed will not be produced. In others words, our destiny will not come forth. Satan is trying to destroy the seed that God has planted in us for destiny.
We as women have a purpose and a calling in God. But, the enemy knows that if he can keep us down about circumstances that are in our lives and make us feel like things will always be this way, he has won. I know some of you have had promises in God that still haven't come to pass. I know I do. When I'm fighting discouragement in a situation, satan always comes with, "hath God said?" If I allow myself to let that seed of doubt grow in my spirit, it will crush out the seed that God has planted in my garden of purpose and destiny.
As I began to study out Genesis 3:15, I came to the word bruised. I looked it up in the strongs and here is what it says, and this is why the enemy is sooo afraid of us. Bruise is from the Hebrew word, dah-kaw'. It means this- its a primitive root to crumble, transitively to bruise (literally or figuratively): to beat to pieces, break (in pieces), bruise, contrite, crush, destroy, humble, oppress and smite. Ladies, God has called us to be women who crush the head of satan. To see his kingdom be crushed and broken to pieces. God has given us that honor and if we as women realize this and it become real to our spirits, we have the enemy on the run. Since Adam and Eve the enemy has done everything in his dominion to see us as woman crushed and broken, knowing that if we get a grip on this verse he would be in big trouble.
When this verse and studying it hit my spirit, I immediately became a warrior. How can we lose with God giving us the command or the assignment. We are not called to constantly be walked over or used, but to walk into the plan and destiny of God for our lives. Like Abba said, "satan knows the bible and he believes it." He knows what his end is going to be and is doing everything he can to keep us oppressed, depressed, discouraged, blind to the fact that we are called to something greater. That is to see him completely destroyed and we as women fulfil our destiny. God has called us to victory in every area of our life. Some of you are facing unreal obstacles, but don't let them keep you under the hand of the enemy. Cry out to God and watch what He will do on your behalf. Your not called to be a survivor, but a conqueor. Be like Eowyn in the Lord of the Rings, the return of the King. Stand up to the enemy and tell him, I am not a man I am a woman. Then take the sword of the spirit that God gives you and smite the enemy in whatever circumstance your in. Take back what belongs to you, whether its your family, or finances, or healing physically or spiritually.
Psalms 68:11 says, The Lord gives the word (of power); the women who bear and publish (the news) are a great host. Amplified Version
That doesn't sound like defeat to me. If God can raise up an army of women who know they have a destiny in God, and realize who they are in Him, the kingdom of satan is going to tremble because they will know their time is short.
So what are you facing that seems literally impossible to see victory in. I challenge you, to read Genesis 3:15 and ask the Lord to make it real to you, as to what He is saying to you personally in your situation. We as women are not called to defeat but to victory.
Abba, make this real to each woman who reads this. I ask you to let the water of the word pour over this seed and then protect it from the heat of the sun or drought. Keep the birds of the air from steeling what is theirs as this seed grows. I ask you to encourage each one and even though their circumstances that at times seem to bring them to the brink of defeat, let them know that they are not called to destruction, but to victory. Let something arise in their spirit and let them become the warrior that you've intended them to be. Where they can look at their circumstances and say to satan, "I am not a man, I am a woman." And Abba, you remind him of the verse in Genesis 3:15 that he knows so well. To see the head of satan crushed and destroyed. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
